La Cheetah Club
313 Connection returns to the La Cheetah basement on Friday 20th March for 313 Connection: Sounds of Detroit with The Hermit, Eubo, Kairogen and Undercurrent.
Opening the night is The Hermit, aka Rab Hutchison. Rab has spent many years behind the scenes as a sound technician and lighting engineer across the electronic music world, and plenty of that time has been spent right in the La Cheetah basement. With deep roots in the scene and an extensive collection of Detroit records, it felt only right to invite him to warm up the night. This is a rare chance to hear him step out from behind the booth and share selections shaped by decades close to the music, with strong connections to Detroit artists including Underground Resistance.
Next up is Eubo, a Glasgow-based DJ whose dedication to vinyl and technical craft is immediately clear. Known for working across two, three and even four turntables, his sets reflect hours of practice and a genuine love for electronic music. Expect selections rooted in the groovy, energetic and funky side of Detroit techno.
Residents Kairogen and Undercurrent will close the night. Since starting the 313 Connection project just over a year ago, the pair have been focused on exploring and sharing Detroit-inspired sounds with a new audience in Glasgow. The aim is to bring together old heads and younger listeners alike, celebrating forward-thinking music while reconnecting with the deeper roots of the sound.
Join us in the basement on Friday 20th March from 10pm - 3am
