Spacelab are delighted to invite Xpress 2 AKA Rocky & Diesel to On The River on Easter Sunday 5th April 2026 alongside the resident DJs and Richie Moulton to host two rooms of music 3pm til 9pm.
Xpress 2 are Darren Rock & Darren House who adopted the name from Terry Farley was inspired by the name S 'Express. Their debut track 'Muzik' and follow up 'London Xpress' have become house music anthems both early Junior Boys Own releases. In the early days Ashley Beedle was with Xpress 2 but left to pursue a solo career.
in 2001 Xpress 2 released 'Lazy' which featured the vocals of Talking Heads' David Byrne and reached No 2 in the UK Chart and gained them an Ivor Novello award. Their debut US track 'The Sound' reached No 1 on the Hot Dance Music charts and was swiftly followed up by their critically acclaimed album Muzikizum.
This is a real coup for us having first put on Rocky & Diesel in Cardiff in 1991, their first Welsh appearance.
We will be devoting the newly renovated outdoor space to the house sounds and indoor will be a more eclectic mix of music with special guest Richie Moulton.
