It's the annual Livity Sound Summer Jam at Strange Brew, of course with Peverelist & Hodge going back to back, but also with very special guests from Forma Radio, Muy Muy and Steven Rice!
We've got extra subs in Strange Brew for this one for some extra low end pressure... you know what to expect!
Muy Muy is an Ecuadorian-born creator living between Quito and Barcelona. Equal parts cultural producer, music selector, and experience maker, her work is driven by a restless search for intimacy and joy; in the mundane and on the dance floor. Her sets weave ambient textures and experimental touches through a deep connection to her Abya Yala's rhythm and bass-heavy global sounds, building a vibrant tension between the introspective and the euphoric.
Steven Rice, founder of Arroz Estudios, has spent his entire adult life collecting records and DJing, with a focus on house, techno, electro, and a broad range of rhythmic styles.
Inspired from an early age by the rave scene in his hometown of South Manchester, his DJ sets offer an exciting mix of avant-garde and contemporary sounds. He is focussed on exploring the boundaries of electronic music, exploring the latest trends and perspectives within the community to create an environment of learning, adventure & fun on the dance floor.
Before moving to Lisbon, Steven was at the helm of some of the UK's most creative parties in the mid 2010's running Nice Like Rice, Just Shake & Cosmic Disco and programming Theatre Delicatessen - an abandoned super market venue in Sheffield. Through that period, and also in Lisbon, he engages in installation design as a curator and occasionally as a visual artist.
