FAGBUTT presents: LOVER’S MISTAKE
Love is in the air!… or is that just poppers?
For one night only in the heart of Bristol, we invite the lovers, the loners, the bachelors, and the broken-hearted to gather at The Island, an iconic venue known for its raw, industrial energy, where the walls drip with sweat, euphoria, and desire. This night is dedicated to the romance of the dancefloor: dim lights, electric tension, and pure pleasure in motion.
Expect a genre-spanning soundtrack of TECHNO, HOUSE, BAILE, REGGAETON, and HYPERPOP.
Live performance from MEL 4EVER, an artist we are completely smitten with. The Brooklyn-based artist crafts a world of glitching synth textures and wildly ethereal sounds, transforming experiences of transphobia, misogyny, and personal rage into powerful, immersive music. Bold, emotional, and unmistakably original, MEL 4EVER is absolutely one to watch.
KODEMUL, based in Mexico City, Kodemul is a versatile producer, DJ, and audiovisual artist renowned for his percussive editing mastery and celebrated for his technical prowess in the booth. As co-founder of the queer rave Por Detroit (CDMX/LA) and the community-focused platform SED, Kodemul bridges the gap between high-energy dancefloors and inclusive cultural spaces. Kodemul's impact spans as far and wide to places such as Panorama Bar (Berghain), Burning Man, Folsom Fair and honcho campout also sharing the stage with such legends as Roi Perez, Physical Therapy, Tayhana and other prominent names in the scene.
Opening the night is our house mother and resident DJ, UGLY, serving a deliciously chaotic blend of goofy, filthy beats and nostalgic club energy, an unexpected sonic rush to make you fall head over heels.
Half of Bristol are already infatuated by DANI WHYLIE. A Bath-based DJ and selector known for her genre fluid, high energy sets that blends euphoria, chaos, and connection. A regular across the UK’s underground, she’s played everywhere from London’s Fold, Venue MOT, and Village Underground to Bristol staples like Thekla, The Island, and The Love Inn, she now holds a residency at Document and Motion 2.0.
