A Thursday night avant-jazz-noise tornado!
Taupe (Glasgow)
Very excited to bring the raucous, unwieldiy and mathmatical noise repetition of Taupe to Sheffield!
Taupe are a Glasgow-based trio concoctions fuse sour sonics, effervescent improvisation, and sludgy, doom-laden riffs into a sound both unruly and sharply honed.
Often seeming to operate by a kind of spooky telekinesis, they pivot from turbulent, unwieldy chaos into taut, metronomic precision, cultivating an approach that feels both volatile and vividly alive.
POHL (Sheffield)
Based in Sheffield, POHL is a stunning and brutal noise rock trio, featuring former Hey Colossus axeman Will Pearce on guitar/vocals, drummer Dr Linda Westman of Toronto-based death metal two-piece, Old Hope, and fabled noise maker Loz, of Dundass, True Yorkshire Kvlt Ensamble and Slug Milk noteriety.
POHL offers swirling, cosmic onslaught of heavy motorik riffs and offhand musings about everything and nothing in equal measure. A glorious noise scorched into the temporale lobes of all who bare witness.
