ATTENTION : -140 Presents a celebration of Manchester 140 Underground.
On the 27th of March we are bringing the community together for to celebrate 1 year of throwing raves deep in the Hidden Basement — one of the city's finest clubs for low-end pressure, powered by the Void Soundsystem.
To thank our community we have got together an absolutely massive line up of grime and dubstep legends old and new.
Jon E Cash, the forgotten godfather of grime. Having had the first grime show on 1xtra and the man who built the sublow sound, what we call grime today. He is a legend in the scene. If you know you know. Without Jon E cash who can say if grime would sound quite like what it sounds today.
Silencer Aka Teddy music, if you've ever been into grime you have likely heard the teddy tag at some point or the other. The legendary silencer joins us for the open cypher portion of the night for lighting quick mixing and wheel ups. If you are an MC Dm us for a free ticket and a chance to cypher over this grime legend.
Jayahadadream, one of the most exciting new talents in grime, Jaya needs no introduction. Winning the breakthrough vocalist/MC from DJ mag, Two youth music awards and nominated for a Mobo this year. Jaya's sharp lyrics and unmistakable stage presence will have hidden on lock.
Finally our special guest: Nancy June. One of the most exciting selectors at the moment Nancy has had an incredible year supporting the likes of Commodo, Mala, Riz la reef, Kahn, Pinch and Slimzee, just to name a few. She is a Rinse FM resident and staple on the line ups for HvyWht, Planet wax, Deep Medi and Outlook. Personally Nancy played the best dubstep set I saw last year, she is not one to miss and will be closing out our first birthday with style.
As always expect raw grime, heavy dubstep, and live cypher energy on the mic.
